What’s New: February 9, 2026

Thanks again for subscribing to My Cabinet of Curiosities. I really appreciate your comments and am grateful that you are taking time to read some of my work.

This week, I added the following:

Under “Learn More,” you will find an essay that more fully explains the origins and motivations for this page that are rooted in my experiences in my first full year of retirement.

In the Hall of Imagination, I added a new hybrid piece, Flatland.

In the Hall of Ideas, I added two additional essays, Love and Buts which was originally written in 2012 and recently edited. Also find, The Handbell Choir which began its life as a graduation address for the PRIDE group on our campus, but seems even more relevant in these divisive and fractious times.

And last, I added a new gallery to the Image Gallery sharing some of my recent experimental photography. These Digital Photograms recall the direct exposure techniques used in the early 20th century by photographers including Man Ray and László Moholy-Nagy, among many others.

I hope you enjoy these additions and stay tuned for more updates next week!

Best,
Deborah Huntley
